Following up on their
blistering performance at the 95bFM Summer Series,
Die! Die! Die! are hitting the
road this July on a nationwide tour in support of their
hot-off-the-presses album, Harmony. Armed with a new
bassist (The Mint Chicks’ Michael Logie) and their
trademark “leave it all on the stage” live show, the
FRIDAY THE 13th party will be their one and only Auckland
date, so don’t miss out!
Watch: Die! Die! Die! - “We Built Our Own
Oppressors”
Alongside Die! Die! Die!
will be fellow Dunedin subversives Opposite Sex. These three
self-taught musicians from Gisborne have developed their own
particular brand of ethereal alternative pop. Quirky,
stripped back, and utterly original, Opposite Sex are
bringing the party up to Auckland following the release of
their debut album with Dunedin’s Fishrider Records in
April.
Watch: Opposite Sex - “La
Rat”
Mothers of Darkness have been
lurking round Auckland since 2009. They’ve been a little
quiet of late but they’re back with a new single
Concrete, and judging by their
glow-in-the-dark performance at bFM’s Zombie Prom last
Halloween, they are going to tear the Winchester apart again
on Friday the 13th.
Watch: Mothers of Darkness - “3 Years” (Live In
Session at Roundhead)
