School coaches
6 July 2012
Netball New Zealand confirmed today the appointment of Marianne Delaney as the NZSS Head coach for 2012 – 2014 campaigns.
Marianne was the successful NZ Secondary School Assistant coach in 2012 at the Tran- Tasman Secondary School Netball Tournament in Adelaide where the NZ Secondary School team won top honours.
Marianne is also the current assistant coach for the Haier Pulse in the ANZ Championship.
Former Silver Ferns captain and current Canterbury Tactix assistant coach Julie Seymour has been appointed assistant coach for the NZSS team.
NNZ High Performance Director Gaylene Eyre said it was outstanding to have a coaching team with such strong coaching experience at both the Secondary Schools and Franchise levels.
“This is a great opportunity for both Marianne and Julie to take the NZSS team to the next level with their aim to achieve back to back wins at the Trans-Tasman Secondary School Tournament next year” Eyre said.
New appointed NZSS coach Marianne Delaney said she was delighted to be appointed head coach.
“Working with our top NZ Secondary School talent is an absolute privilege and I am also thrilled to have Julie Seymour as part of the coaching team”, she said.
