Rhythm And Vines Second Annual ‘Soundcheck’ Event

Rhythm And Vines Second Annual ‘Soundcheck’ Event Confirmed for Vector Arena, Auckland, October 5th, 2012 Featuring Nero (Live), Rusko, Labrinth and Home Brew

For the second year running, Rhythm and Vines in association with Ambient Group present their exciting live music event, ‘Soundcheck’, to be held at Vector Arena on October 5th.

R&V Soundcheck will see an international line-up including British electronic act Nero (Live), dubstep record producer and DJ Rusko, and rising UK singer songwriter and record producer Labrinth along with New Zealand’s leading hip hop act, Home Brew.

The event will move from a Thursday to a Friday night and this year will be R16, making it accessible for those who don’t meet the minimum age requirements for Rhythm and Vines.

While in keeping with the R&V flavour, organisers say the Soundcheck line-up differs from the line-up for this year's Rhythm and Vines in Gisborne, which will be announced mid August.

A very limited release of pre sale tickets at $69 + booking fee will be available through Ticketmaster, these go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 11th July. General release is available on Thursday 12th July

In another exciting announcement, for the first time ever Rhythm & Alps, the festival’s southern sister, will also hold a ‘Soundcheck’ event. Expanding R & V’s commitment to bringing the best in live music to New Zealand, it will offer a taste of the North Island festival to the deep south, Dunedin, where the idea for the festival was first conceived.

This year marks the tenth anniversary for New Zealand’s best loved music festival, Rhythm and Vines. With upgraded accommodation and entertainment options and a world class line up, the three day event will see in its new decade in spectacular style.

Demand for tickets to help celebrate ten years of Rhythm and Vines has been overwhelming, more than ten thousand tickets were sold within the first ten hours of them going on sale.
