Dowse launches new publication on work of Ann Shelton
The Dowse has launched the tree obverse, a new publication featuring the work of photographer Ann Shelton. This publication accompanies her exhibition in the forest, on at The Dowse as part of our Solo Wellington Artists series. The tree obverse features new writing by German curator Dorethee Brill and our own curator Emma Bugden, along with documentation of the complete in the forest photographic series to date. This catalogue launches the beginning of a new series of art publications by The Dowse, with publications on the work of Octavia Cook and Saskia Leek coming next.
We are very grateful for funding support from the Massey University College of Creative Arts and the Massey University Research Fund. The book has been beautifully designed by Ann’s husband, Duncan Munro, and is pocket-sized for easy access.
