Haze
[New York, NY] You simply cannot escape the worldwide phenomenon surrounding the ever-popular Twilight Saga, whether via book or major motion picture. But have you ever wondered what ignites your fascination to the film and personal connections to its characters? Dr. Niloo Dardashti, a rising figure within the New York psychology field, has made it her mission to explore the psychological reasoning for the vast variety of those who find themselves infatuated with the Twilight series. Dr. Niloo Dardashti's debut documentary, Into the Twilight Haze, asserts her expertise as not only a psychologist, but also as a "Pop Culture Phenomenon Expert" by providing easy to understand insight into our attraction to books and films like Twilight. The final Twilight feature film is scheduled for release this coming Fall 2012.
Into the Twilight Haze attempts to uncover why so many are enamored with the books and films. Written, produced, and directed by a psychologist, it delves into the allure of Twilight as a vehicle to explore male-female dynamics today (what men want, what women want, our differences, and why it is often still so hard to understand one another). It is a journey into the human psyche with regards to our needs/desires for intimacy, love, sex, connection, self-growth, and our inter-relationship struggles. Through a series of groundbreaking interviews, adult psychologist Niloo Dardashti is able to facilitate a deep exploration into the hearts of several women touched immensely by Twilight.
Dr. Niloo Dardashti is a psychologist, coach, and relationship expert. She is also Board Certified as a Holistic Health Practitioner, living and practicing in New York City. She earned her Bachelor's in Science from New York University in 2000 and received additional training in Mindfulness, Meditation, and Reiki before going to graduate school. In 2007, Niloo received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, with training in Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Couples, and Dialectical Behavior therapies.
