Country99tv’s Local
Show
Goes Global
Country99TV, New Zealand’s dedicated
rural channel has secured a partnership agreement which will
see it’s brand new local series Horsing Around NZ
heading for the international market.
Horsing Around NZ will premiere exclusively on August 1st, 2012 at 7.30pm on Country99TV. This upbeat, fun and informative equestrian focused show is presented by equestrian 'it' girl Karen Teague. It is designed to appeal to everyone from the casual rider to the consummate professional. Even non-riders will thrill to the sight of the wild horses of the Kaimanawa ranges, be amazed by some seriously scenic horse trekking and be blown away by the Spartacus stunt horses.
The agreement confirms the sale of the 13 part series, which will be broadcast on American satellite and cable television channel RFD-TV.
RFD-TV is devoted to rural issues, concerns, and interests. Launched in December 2000, RFD-TV is the nation's first 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week television network dedicated to serving the needs and interests of rural America. Programming includes a wide-variety of shows focused on agriculture, equine, rural lifestyle and traditional music offerings. Currently, RFD-TV is distributed in over 32 million homes.
“It’s fantastic to see that New Zealand programming holds it’s own in the world. This deal was done sight unseen, which just shows the respect New Zealand television and producers have,” comments Helen Ryan, General Manager, Programming and Acquisitions.
RFD-TV is home to the most comprehensive lineup of agriculture-based programs ever assembled on one channel. Shows from around the world give agriculture professionals and hobbyists the widest variety of news and information available to fit every interest and operation.
