Aly Cook's Country Storm signed by Sydney publisher Chance Music

On the back of winning New Zealand Female Country Artist of the Year 2012 & Australian airplay chart success with "Midnight Sun". Aly Cook's latest single "Country Storm" written by Aly and David Erik has been signed to Sydney based publisher Chance MUSIC. Country Storm has been released to Australian Radio as a single from Aly Cooks album "Brand New Day" which is distributed via WJO Distribution in Australia and ODE in New Zealand.

Nick Chance, owner and founder of Chance MUSIC, has been involved in the music business for over 30 years, including 3 years at RCA Records, then BMG and durng that time was integrally involved in the promotion of Australia's largest selling record, John Farnham's Whispering Jack album. Nick began managing bands and venues in 1980. Over the years he has worked with many local and international names, music legends and pop stars including - Albert King, Buddy Guy, Davy Jones (The Monkees), Dolly Parton, Eurythmics, John Denver, John Farnham, Hoodoo Gurus, Kenny Rogers, Mental As Anything, Rick Astley, Spy V Spy, Stevie Wonder and Wilson Pickett as examples.

Nick says ..

"There is always a huge demand for good country music songs. On first hearing Country Storm, it impacted as one of them. Aly Cook and co-writer David Erik agreed to sign the publishing rights to Chance MUSIC to enable us to offer the song to producers, performers and labels for uses by recording artists, in film or TV. For single song assignments like Country Storm, we look for songs with good structure, lyrics, mood and of course music that sound like they have longevity as a good composition. Country Storm we believe is one such song."
