PureBlack Racing to support Canteen at The Crank

PureBlack Racing give back to the community doing what they do best - Cycling

Auckland, New Zealand, 24 September 2012: PureBlack Racing is excited to announce participation in the charity event ‘The Crank’, a 12-hour RPM charity ride, on Friday 28th September.

All Auckland-based PureBlack Racing riders will participate, along with management for the full 12 hour relay effort.

Business Director, Greg Cross, says with such a young cycling team, Canteen’s relevance to PureBlack Racing is profound, and something the team is honored to be part of.

Cross said, “It is always fun to be able to use cycling as a way to give back to the New Zealand community. When we were invited to participate, we knew straight away that PureBlack Racing would be there with lycra [bells] on.”

The PureBlack Racing team participating in The Crank is:

Louis Crosby (Rider)
Taylor Gunman (Rider)
John Harris (Directeur Sportif)
Hamish Mathieson (General Manager)
Dion Smith (Rider)
Astrid van Uden (Communications Manager)
Roman van Uden (Captain)

Cross is unable to participate due to work commitments in the USA.

PureBlack Racing Team Captain, Roman van Uden has put his support behind the cause and is looking forward to help spread the message.

Van Uden said, "There is no better way for the team to give back to New Zealand teenagers than by getting on a bike. We are all excited to participate in promoting a cause that supports and inspires young people living with cancer.”
