'Yarn Bomb' Exhibition opens in Wellington
The 'Yarn Bomb' textile exhibition is opening tonight at 6.30pm at Matchbox Studios, Wellington.
Yarn Bomb brings together a group of artists working with yarns and fabrics in unique ways to create an exhibition of visual delights. Some of these works have been created with political issues in mind. Some have travelled far and have stories to tell.
The exhibition features guerrilla cross stitching, knitted gig posters, an interactive felt keyboard, knitted lady parts, crocheted tools, hand crafted organs, political statements just to name a few.
The exhibition is an interactive & colourful, eclectic collaboration of 10 New Zealand textile artists. Make sure you don't miss this unique exhibition.
