Grab A Handful on National Nut Day!
Event: National Nut Day
2012
Date: Tuesday, 23 October
Where:
Across New Zealand
Tuesday 23 October is National Nut Day – a day to take our hats off to the wonderful nut.
The people behind Alison’s Pantry and Mother Earth will be out to make sure Kiwis go nuts to celebrate the inaugural New Zealand National Nut Day.
National Nut Day will encourage Kiwis to grab a handful of nutritious and delicious nuts as a snack.
Nuts are a natural powerhouse of different vitamins and minerals and including a handful of nuts (30g) as a part of an everyday diet has many proven health benefits including reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, promoting weight loss and even reducing fine lines and wrinkles. They taste great too!
For further information on nuts and inspiring recipe ideas visit http://www.alisonspantry.co.nz or the Mother Earth Facebook page www.facebook.com/MotherEarthNZ.
