Schools & Workplaces Take It Off for Nude Food Day!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Schools & Workplaces Take It Off for Nude Food Day!

16 OCTOBER 2012: The third annual National Nude Food Day will be held this Wednesday 17 October with over one million Australians and New Zealanders expected to pack nude for a healthy body and a healthy planet!

Nude Food Day, a program created by Nude Food Movers, is an internationally recognised day that encourages individuals to make informed decisions about their food and its effect on their bodies and the environment.

Schools and workplaces can get involved in 3 easy steps:

1. Register for Nude Food Day at www.nudefoodday.com - and spread

the word throughout their school or workplace with supplied materials

2. Visit the website for recipe and activity inspiration

3. Pack a healthy lunch, without waste, on Wednesday 17 October

“Our aim is to spread the nude food = healthy body + healthy planet message across the nation and get everyone involved no matter what their age. Working to communicate this message has been brilliant; this initiative is really helping to create positive outcomes for our future “ Dale Harbinson Managing Director, Smash Enterprises – Nude Food Movers.

This year, registered workplaces will be competing in the inaugural Nudie Run – where the best Nude Food Day activities will be rewarded with prizes. Some workplaces have already registered to run an exercise class at lunchtime, or a Nude Food breakfast for all employees.

All registered schools have been supplied curriculum resources and classroom activities to increase engagement with students and help teach kids about the importance of good nutrition and zero waste.

Together we can make everyday a Nude Food Day…for our health and the health of our planet.
