BikeNZ People’s Choice Award finalists announced

The final five nominees for the BikeNZ People’s Choice Award were announced today, having been nominated by the New Zealand public.

Olympians Sarah Walker and Marc Willers (BMX) are joined by new Junior World Champion Anton Cooper (Mountain Bike – Cross-country), 20-year-old speed merchant Brook MacDonald (Mountain Bike – Downhill) and Olympic bronze medallist Simon van Velthooven (Track) as the finalists for the coveted award.

This award is highly sought-after in New Zealand cycling in 2012 as this is the first year it will be measured across all five disciplines, but more importantly because it is voted for by the fans.

With the nominees finalised, voting is now officially open and will run through to 5pm on November 15. Each individual can only vote once, so for more information on each rider and to cast your vote, go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JB5Y29N.
