New Zealand’s largest online toy store has announced their Top 10 toy picks for Christmas 2012. The list is compiled from recent sales data, latest toy releases and 15 years in the toy industry says Candace Allen, toy buyer for iQToys.co.nz

1. Chalktrail (ages 3+)

“We caught a glimpse of this on YouTube a few months back and loved it so much we secured the exclusive rights to it” says Candace. Chalktrail, which lets kids create colourful chalk patterns while riding their bike actually only made it to production thanks to Kickstarter crowd funding.

2. Leappad2 (ages 3 to 9)

The Leappad2 is a kid’s version of the iPad. The original Leappad was a huge success last Christmas and the Leappad2 includes a more robust construction, faster processor, double the internal memory (now 4Gb), and new front facing camera so pics can be taken from both sides.
