Ali Harper Is In Town

Get Your Frock Out, Pop On Some Lippy and bring your man!
Ali Harper Is In Town………

Actress and singer Ali Harper is bringing her popular cabaret show back to Christchurch, Akaroa and Rangiora in November.

Three concerts will see Harper weave her way through a selection of well-known songs from leading ladies of stage and screen including Doris Day, Edith Piaf and Shirley Bassey.

Although the audience is usually more female than male, Ali says couples do come, which is lovely, and essential as she needs a male knee to sit on at one point of the performance.

“A bit of fun is had by all,” she says.

It’s been a busy year for Harper who most recently appeared in Tim Beveridge’s The Music is Bond, James Bond at the CBS Arena; these three concerts see her return to more intimate venues - Heaton Intermediate Performance Centre, the Northbrook Chapel in Rangiora and St Peter’s Church in Akaroa. Tickets are expected to sell quickly.

Internationally recognised vocalist and musician Matthew Pike is well known to audiences across the country (Miss Saigon, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, CATS) and joins Ali for these shows, accompanied by talented pianist Max Tocker.
