Christchurch to hold the largest beer festival in New Zealand for a second year
This week, tickets to The Great Kiwi Beer Festival went on sale. Sold out for its debut festival in 2012 – attracting more than 11,000 craft beer lovers – the largest beer festival in New Zealand is back and ready for round two.
Hosted by industry experts and featuring 100 local, national, and international brews The Great Kiwi Beer Festival is an event not to miss.
Festival organisers Team Event, which is also bringing Christchurch the New World Wine & Food Festival in early December, says proof of craft beer’s popularity is evident in the success of the 2012 festival. “Craft beer continues to go from strength to strength”, says spokesperson Callam Mitchell. “We are stoked to announce that this year the Great Kiwi Beer Festival will showcase beer from more than 40 breweries. There will also be a delicious range of local eats, and music from some of the finest festival acts New Zealand has to offer.”
The headline music acts will be AHoriBuzz, Batucada Sound Machine, Soulsystem and the legendary Supergroove.
A range of onsite activities will once again be a prominent part of the festival including beer and food matching, cooking demonstrations, seminars, brand experience areas, 30 Gourmet Foods exhibitors, the Craft Beer Academy, The World Of Beer area, The Brewers Table and much more.
