New E-Book Ipso Facto antidote to the Da Vinci Code

New E-Book Ipso Facto antidote to the Da Vinci Code

Tauranga author Don Leichel’s latest book, Ipso Facto, examines some of the greatest mysteries in the Bible from a scientific perspective.

This new book which took a decade to research and write, takes a fresh look at biblical history , “piecing together cryptic mysteries and strange clues passed down to us from antiquity.”

The author covers a wide range of topics, from evolution theory to scientific explanations for phenomena such as the Shroud of Turin, and the history and current location of the Ark of the Covenant - a chest containing tablets with the 10 commandments.

Don Leichel takes a scientific approach as he combs through ancient texts and codes, and examines biblical events. His painstaking research included “examination of works by reputable historians, and physical inspections of ancient archaeological sites.”

The former mariner, oil industry executive and accountant takes a scholarly approach in tackling some of the most challenging questions surrounding the emergence of Christianity. For example, he investigates the Star of Bethlehem using ancient precedents, modern astronomy and archaeology.

Don also breaks new ground in biblical research as he unravels “concealed messages in prophetic texts identifying Jesus as the Messiah” – and uncovers numbers which provide biographical details about him.

The author says his wide-ranging book provides a “genuinely new perspective on a time period from the beginning of human history to the discovery of the Sign of Moses, and the Seal of Jesus Christ.”

Don Leichel says his book not only provides a wealth of new information accessible to lay reader and student alike, but proves that Judeo Christianity is not at odds with modern science, as some might believe. He goes further to assert that the startling discoveries he outlines, “will be like a shining light to even the most skeptical.”

“If you have a desire to make sense of this short life in a wonderful world, as thinking human being you will benefit greatly from reading this book.”
