FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wellington Artists Collective Present Inaugural Christmas Exhibition

Honey Badger Creative Studios are proud to present their first group exhibition at Deluxe cafe, commencing next Thursday the 20th of December.
The Honey Badgers Collective formed in August 2012, after The Production Village - a well known creative hub for musicians, designers, and artists - faced it's ultimate demise at the hands of urban development. "It was a big blow for all of us to lose our spaces at the village, but we kept our eyes on the horizon, and have really succeeded in creating this new and exciting (often hilarious) environment for ourselves.
The collective consists of prominent Wellington creatives: Stephen Templer, Rieko Woodford-Robinson, Kelly Spencer, Sophie Lewis-Smith, Yasmine El Orfi, Jon Coddington, Ghstie, Ross Payne, and Lorenzo Van Der Lingen.
The badgers each have their own individual creative style... Expect an impressive variety of high quality work, ranging from illustration and fine art, to jewellery and sculpture.
Rieko continues to deliver her intricate
oil painted storybook creatures, straight off the back of
her sellout show held at Thistle Hall last
week.
Kelly has recently returned to Wellington
after a week spent in Auckland working on the Red Bull
PopLife project with 5 other NZ
artists.
Stephen has recently released the
paperback edition of The wreck of Diddley, a childrens film
he co-created which featured in the 1997 NZ Film
Fest.
Jon continues to tour his creation, Puppet
Fiction, following a sellout season at Bats theatre, the
show now moves to Auckland and Adelaide in early 2013.
The show is open daily from 7am, 20 December - 6 January.
OPENING NIGHT: THURSDAY 20 DECEMBER -
5PM.
