Rose Battersby Fractures Spine at X Games
Aspen, Colorado, 28 January 2013 - New Zealand freeskier, Rose Battersby, was taken to hospital after a crash during the warmup session before the Jeep Ski Slopestyle Women's final at X Games Aspen 2013 this morning New Zealand time.
Rose was assessed at Aspen Valley Medical and was reported to have suffered a lumbar spine fracture. She is in a stable condition, reported to be moving and able to feel all extremities. Rose is being transferred to Denver for further assessment and treatment. Further updates will be posted on the Snow Sports New Zealand website as information becomes available.
