The Wellington Freelance Dance Festival is descending on the Fringe for One Night only of Dance, Dance related Dance and other Awesome Performance Art stuff. After a successful two night season at Matchbox Studios in November 2012, the Wellington Freelance Dance Collective are excited to present a Cabaret night of dance.

“We were feeling creatively-deprived in winter 2012 and when the Wellington Dance Festival was cancelled, we thought we’d organise our own,” explains Virginia Kennard, Assistant Producer of the Wellington Freelance Collective. An intimate setting lead to a series of dance solos, coat-hangered dance therapy circles and even a song-writing debut. The more spacious Thistle Hall will unleash more mad-cap Fringe-esque dance performances – yes!
The Collective presented their inaugural performance season Yes. No. Maybe? at the 2012 Fringe Festival, selling out almost every night of their BATS season. They hold morning class twice a week at Thistle Hall for the professional dance and performance community.
