Kirkcaldie & Stains 150th Birthday
Celebration Show
2013 is
a very momentous year for Kirkcaldie & Stains as they
celebrate 150 years of fashion at Wellington Fashion
Week.
Designers Deryn Schmidt, Mardee, Carlson and Hailwood, left guests in awe with their AW'13 collections.
Deryn Schmidt’s AW13 Collection The Wall showcased stunning tailored blouses, woollen suits, pants, dresses and velvet jackets. This collection of very gorgeous feminine pieces is very wearable by all women.
Mardee’s AW13 Collection designed and manufactured in New Zealand, feautured brightly coloured coats, feminine print and classic use of pleating and heat manipulation of textile.
Designer Tanya Carlson showcased her W13 Collection inspired by late 1960s London. This was a time of the swinging 60s where youth enthused street styles were making their way into the fashion world. This Carlson Collection is exclusive to Kirkcaldie & Stains in Wellington.
Adrian Hailwood’s current season Winter range Winter State, was inspired by the 1970s New York and the music scene. His pieces each year continuously achieve new levels of creativity, and we were treated to the classic feminine looks we know and love.
