Hastings shearer Rowland Smith, jubilant after
winninhg hgis second New Zealand Shearing Championships Open
final in Te Kuiti on Saturday night (April 6). He first won
the title in 2011, aged 24, and his win this year gave him a
memorable double for the season, after winning his first
Golden Shears Open title in Masterton last month.

Saturday. Based in Te Kuiti but originally from Porangahau,
it was a case of showing she'd never lost the touch, for it
was her competition in a year and she hadn't worked in a
woolshed for more than three years.
