Parallel Dance Ensamble Releases New Video: Possessions
Releases New Video
Possessions
New Zealand rapper Coco Solid and Danish producer Robin Hannibal are the long-distance duo Parallel Dance Ensemble.
Their latest single Possessions comes off the duo’s 12” Possessions and Obsessions released on German label, Permanent Vacation. Hansell and Hannibal met at the Barcelona Red Bull Music Academy five years ago and have released their unique post-punk disco-rap ever since.
The pair have been busy - Hannibal is based in LA working on his respected projects Rhye (Universal) and Quadron (Epic). Hansell is in Seoul living at the National Museum of Contemporary Art following her recent release with noize collective Badd Energy (Flying Nun Records).
Arguably the conceptual cornerstone of their
EP, this latest single is a warning not to
treasure the vapid things in life - it can all go up in
smoke. The video is directed by Carthew Neal with concept
and artistic direction from Reuben Paterson.
