Keepsakes new album - Night Echoes
KEEPSAKES - NIGHT ECHOES is the third release by Sequel One Records (Poland) produced by British DJ and producer James Barrett, currently living in Auckland, New Zealand. Night Echoes is Keepsakes' second official release, however, listening to the tracks you may get the impression that the author is much more experienced artist. They are the result of an in depth knowledge around synthesizer and drum programing, and tasteful sampling choices. 'Anything' starts out with an energetic rhythm, leading in to the mellow key and sample heavy '4.25AM'. This is then followed by 'Kontaina', a techno inspired track, pushed along by a heavily manipulated hip hop vocal sample. Next, '2.10AM' is a dreamy with subtly affected keys, synth and vocal samples. 'Lounge Habit' finishes as a warm house tune based around soulful vocal samples and Rhodes keys.
The EP is also profiled on the front page and available for download on the esteemed U.S. Xlr8r.com today.
