Myele Manzanza, whom some may recognise as the charismatic drummer of Wellington soul act Electric Wire Hustle, steps out from behind the drum kit with single and video for his track On The Move featuring Rachel Fraser.

This is the first own music video” says Myele “I produced the track a few years ago on the road, and I thought that the feel of the track was a good fit for Rachel's natural flow. We selected Wellington based film maker Michael Hobbs of I Had Hippy Parents to produce and direct the video. We talked over many different treatments but it felt right for us to keep the visual treatment beautiful but open to interpretation, kind of like the song itself. Michael assembled a fantastic crew for the shoot and I was also really happy to be able to feature some more local talent such as NZ designers MisteR Clothing and amazing local dancers Emma Coppersmith, Emma Dellabarca & Isabelle Nelson.”

Myele joins a catalogue of some of his favourite artists and heroes this week with the release of his On The Move digital single through BBE Records (UK) and to celebrate, the track will be available for exclusive free download for one week only from Myele's website www.myelemanzanza.com and will be followed by the international release of solo album 'One' in September.

Although this news also marks a significant change for Myele as he goes solo. “It is with a heavy heart that I announce that I will not be continuing with Electric Wire Hustle. We've been together for the last 6 years which is a good amount of my lifespan. It is a very difficult but necessary step for me as an artist and a person to take control of my own career and I hope to be able to continue to share my music with all the amazing people that have been supportive of what we have been doing.” says Myele

On The Move featuring Rachel Fraser is the first single from Myele Manzanza's forthcoming solo album One and is now available through BBE Records UK and available for exclusive free download for a limited time only from his site www.myelemanzanza.com
