L.O.V.E. Eliminated from ‘the X Factor Nz’
L.O.V.E. became the third act eliminated from The X Factor NZ tonight in an action packed episode which saw mentor Melanie Blatt abstain from voting when two of her groups L.O.V.E. and Moorhouse found themselves in the bottom two.
Tonight’s result leaves Tom Batchelor, Benny Tipene, Fletcher Mills, Whenua Patuwai, Cassie Henderson, Jackie Thomas, Anna Wilson, Maaka Fiso, Gap 5, and Moorhouse to compete for The X Factor NZ crown.
L.O.V.E. said: “When we entered this competition we didn’t believe in ourselves, but New Zealand has filled us with love and support and we are so grateful for that.”
On Sunday night, L.O.V.E. performed ‘Pass Out’ by Tinie Tempah in the third LIVE Performance Show. After a public vote, L.O.V.E. and Moorhouse were the bottom two acts. Tonight, they each sang again, in a final attempt to stay in the competition. L.O.V.E. performed TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ and were eliminated.
Tonight, mentor Melanie Blatt said: “I love these girls. They are fighters to the end.”
The remaining 10 acts will take the stage at 7pm, Sunday 9 June and sing for their survival before Monday’s first LIVE DOUBLE ELIMINATION show.
