Magic Night with Magpies for Junior Rugby Winners
Magic Night with Magpies for Junior Rugby Winners
11 June 2013 – Weighing in for the junior rugby season proved to be a winner for eight young players, who won Unison Networks’ ‘Weigh in to Win’ rugby competition.
One junior rugby player from each Hawke’s Bay rugby club was drawn at random to attend a training session with Magpies players’ Gillies Kaka, Brendan Edmonds, Jessie McDonald and Mark Abbott last night at Ellwood Park, Hastings. Magpies’ coaches Craig Philpott and Danny Lee were also on hand to take the junior players through their paces.
“Unison is passionate about supporting junior rugby, and we hope that opportunities such as this help inspire our young players to follow their passion and be the best they can be, both on and off the field,” said Unison Group Chief Executive Officer, Ken Sutherland.
