Stan Walker’s Final Act Leaves ‘the X Factor Nz’: Anna Wilson Eliminated

Stan Walker’s time as a mentor on The X Factor NZ is over.  Stan’s role in the competition will be as a judge only, after the final contestant in his category, Anna Wilson was eliminated tonight.

The elimination leaves seven acts remaining to fight for The X Factor NZ title; Tom Batchelor, Benny Tipene, Whenua Patuwai, Cassie Henderson, Jackie Thomas, Gap 5, and Moorhouse.

After Sunday night’s Performance Show, Anna Wilson and Gap 5 received the lowest number of public votes, and sang for their survival in front of the judges and a packed auditorium.  Anna sang John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and was sent home by the judges.

Tonight Anna said:  “Thank you for all the time and energy you have given to me.”

Anna’s mentor Stan Walker said:  “I’m so proud of her.  This ain’t the last you’ll see of Anna,” and joked he now had plenty of time to “help out” fellow judge Melanie Blatt with her contestants.

The remaining seven acts will take the stage at 7pm, Sunday 23 June, and sing to stay in the competition in the next LIVE Performance Show.
