Digital Wattle to shine all week
One of the centrepieces from the Wellington LUX festival will continue to delight Wellingtonians until Friday. Digital Wattle, at the corner of the waterfront lagoon, has been one of the most popular exhibits in the festival. Over the past few days, the distinctive glowing ‘wattle flowers’ of changing coloured lights have attracted countless visitors, many equipped with cameras and tripods.
Although the main festival is over, Wellington Waterfront Ltd is generously supporting the work for the next few days, giving more people the chance to see it – or to make a return visit.
Wellington LUX festival producer Mary Laine says it has been great to see so many families out enjoying the artworks, and the stunning full moon, after last week’s storm. “The storm meant we had a shorter festival, so we’re very grateful to Wellington Waterfront Ltd for generously extending the season for Digital Wattle.”
The weather forecast is for fine weather tonight and tomorrow, with a few showers developing on Thursday.
