“Run! Scream! Survive!” Zombierun going nationwide

Zombierun, the scariest run ever is coming to Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland this summer. Zombierun is an interactive apocalyptic 5 km run through a zombie infested quarantine area. But particpants are not just running against the clock – they are running from blood-thirsty, virus-infected, brain-eating zombies!

Wellington is first on the list and registrations for the run on the 20th of Oct have opened up last week. Christchurch is next with the event planned on the 23rd of November.

“After last year’s success in Wellington it would have been criminal not to go nationwide”, says Roy Hoogmoed, organiser of the Zombierun events. “It’s a really interesting event. People react all totally different to finding themselves in such an extreme scenario. It’s this combination of interactivity (particpants ao have to find vaccines to survive) fun and horror, that makes zombierun such a unique and awesome event.”

More information on Zombieruns is available online here: www.zombierun.co.nz or www.facebook.com/zombierunnz

Mark Stocker: History Spurned - The Arrival Of Abel Tasman In New Zealand

On the face of it, Everhardus Koster's exceptional genre painting The Arrival of Abel Tasman in New Zealand should have immense appeal. It cannot find a buyer, however, not because of any aesthetic defects, but because of its subject matter and the fate of the Māori it depicts. More
