Congrats are in
order to Lorde and Joel Little for taking out
the APRA Silver Scroll for 2013. In addition to their
continued success and domination of the Billboard Charts,
the Silver Scroll recoginises their track Royals as
the best song as voted for by over 10,000 songwriters. You
can find the track on her debut album, Pure Heroine,
now from Amplifier.
Today sees the release of the much
anticipated new album from David Dallas, Falling
Into Place. The album features the track Runnin', which
was featured on the soundtracks for video games Madden
NFL 25 and Fifa 14. The 12 tracks show a darker
side recalling the early days as Frontline, while
progressing on the sound shown in his first two solo albums.
Salmonella Dub have also released new vinyl 12" Same Home Town, to celebrate over 20 years since their first shows across the South Island. The track is the first taken off thier upcoming new studio album, and is dedicated to the Dux De Lux in Christchurch, one of the first venues to host the band. The 12" contains the single, along with three remixes, and you can pick it up here.
