There’s something in the Mako’s water – algae!
They’ve got the speed, they’ve got the strength and they’ve got the staying power. There’s no doubt that the Tasman Makos are on form this season, and now we can reveal they’re also on something else.
While not wanting to take anything away from the trainers, the coaches or the players themselves, management and staff of Nelson’s Supreme Biotechnologies are rapt that their algae-derived AstaSupreme® astaxanthin has helped to power the Mako’s outstanding performance throughout 2013.
Since the start of the year, a very special blend of the company’s AstaSupreme® supplement has been included as an essential part of Makos players’ daily regime. Feedback from the players has the AstaSupreme® team grinning from ear to ear. Say’s CEO Tony Dowd “We get amazing online feedback from sportspeople around the world – but to see this kind of lift in performance from the Makos has been a huge buzz for us all.”
The Tasman Makos will play the Hawkes Bay Magpies in the ITM Cup final this Friday night at the Mako’s home ground, Trafalgar Park in Nelson.
Background Information:
• Supreme Biotechnologies Nelson plant is one of only five astaxanthin growing facilities in the world and the only company successfully growing haematococcus pluvialis the high quality, NZ strain of marine algae from which AstaSupreme® is produced.
• Natural astaxanthin is the most powerful natural antioxidant and free radical scavenger on the planet - a red carotenoid from the same family as lycopene, lutein and beta-carotene - astaxanthin’s positive effects on endurance, strength and joint flexibility are widely known and supported by a multitude of international studies and trials.
• Produced from algae grown exclusively at the Nelson plant, Supreme Biotech’s AstaSupreme® range of products is marketed in NZ and around the world.
