Alzheimers and their carers
Alzheimers and their carers
The guest this week In Conversation with Noel Cheer on Face Television is the Executive Director of Alzheimers NZ, Catherine Hall.
The World Alzheimer Report, released in September, predicts that the number of dependent older people worldwide will nearly treble in less than 40 years. Nearly half of these elderly people will be living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. The Report recommends that countries start a national conversation about the funding and structure of services for people with dementia, and work towards national dementia planning.
"In Conversation with Noel Cheer", Face Television, Monday November 4th at 7:00pm, repeated on Tuesday November 5th at 12 noon.
Face Television, the home of public broadcasting, is found on Sky Television Channel 083 and can also be received in the Auckland region on UHF Channels 41, 42 and 52. It is also live-streamed on www.ecasttv.co.nz. The website www.facetv.co.nz carries programme schedules. Some past episodes of In Conversation can be viewed at www.youtube.com/user/NoelCheer
