Clubmans and Honda Saloons Headline At Teretonga 

The local Clubmans Saloons plus the Honda Cup cars are the top acts at the second motor race meeting of the season presented by Downer at Teretonga Park near Invercargill this weekend.

The Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans Saloons have an exciting look about them with Colin Dawson of Invercargill in his new Chev Camaro heading the field. Up and coming teenager Liam MacDonald is back in the Falcon he used to create a huge impression in last year's NZV8 Championship while Doug Munro of Invercargill is entered in a 6 litre Holden Commodore and Dunedin driver Brian Scott will line up in his Chev Corvette. Taking it to the big engined cars with turbo power are Darryn Andrews of Lincoln in his Nissan Primera, Inky Tulloch of Gore in his Honda Integra, Ian McKenzie of Otautau in a turbocharged Nissan and Dion Dawson of Invercargill in a Nissan Silvia.

In the Honda Cup Mark Meadows of Christchurch will be the man to beat in his 2 litre Integra although several competitive Southlanders, Glenn Johnston and Greg Elder of Gore plus Tulloch will all be amongst the action. Daniel Cropp of Prebbleton in a Civic SIR is another to watch.

The action, presented by Downer, will start at 10.30am on Sunday. Admission for adults is just $5 while children 12 and under are free.
