Steinlager New Zealand Pub Quiz Champion 2013

Steinlager New Zealand Pub Quiz Champion 2013

Saturday 23rd November 2013 Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre Quiz start time: 6pm The Steinlager New Zealand Pub Quiz Championship is once again taking place this Saturday 23rd November at Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre, Mt Wellington, Auckland.

Now in its fourteenth year, this year’s annual event will be our largest ever, all 60 slots having sold out. We have 60 teams (of six) travelling to the event from across the country fighting it out for the right to be called the best in the land. The defending champions, the ‘Once & Future Kings’ from The Kingslander in Auckland are back to defend their title.

Director and quizmaster Brendan Lochead says: “This is always the most anticipated event on the pub quiz calendar. It’s not just the serious train spotting anoraks we cater to either. A lot of teams come in fancy dress with no expectations other than to have a good time. But of course someone has to win, and it’s always a great night for everyone to put their brains to the test. We have a prize table for the top ten teams this year.”
