ASTON RD SESSIONS #7
THOMAS
OLIVER
'Lead Me On / What I Can Say' (live)
The
final three Aston Rd Sessions that feature
Wellington based talents Thomas Oliver, Louis Baker and Estère are led out with a dynamic
and captivating performance by New Zealands leading
Weissenborn (lapslide guitar) player Thomas Oliver.
The much anticipated release of this particular performance showcases the diverse way in which Thomas can adapt his playing skills to various genres. Performing the Drum & Bass track ‘Lead Me On’, a collaboration between Thomas and D&B producer Trei, he transforms the song into his signature sound and expertly amalgamates the bluesy live favourite ‘What I Can Say’ into it.
“ ‘Lead Me On' was the first Drum & Bass collab I ever did. It was with my good friend, Trei, and it ended up being a bit of a springboard for my involvement in the DnB world. This is an acoustic interpretation of that tune, followed by 'What I Can Say', a tune that's been a staple in my live sets since I can remember!”, says Thomas.
