Making a racquet for Ronald McDonald House Auckland
Making a racquet for Ronald McDonald House Auckland
Heritage Auckland, the host hotel for the New Zealand Festival of Tennis, will again present the Heritage Auckland Lobbo event during the ASB Classic. This year the recipient charity chosen is Ronald McDonald House Auckland (RMHA).
As a warm up to the event, Heritage Auckland hosted in children from RMHA for a fun introduction to the game of tennis, with a coaching session and lots of laughter and mayhem on the hotel’s own on-site tennis court.
The lively session in somewhat blustery early summer conditions concluded with a mini prize giving and, of course, cupcakes. Joining the fun was tennis enthusiast and celebrity, Renee Wright, who gave a hand encouraging the budding tennis players.
Heritage Hotels’ Charity Night including the popular Heritage Auckland Lobbo will be held on centre court during the ASB Classic on Thursday January 8th 2015. Funds raised will be used to help fund a new play area at RMHA’s newest House on Grafton Mews.
