Cliff Curtis special on Marae
Cliff Curtis special on Marae TVNZ
This week on Marae,
a television exclusive with one of New Zealand’s biggest
international movie and television stars, Cliff
Curtis.
The normally very private actor has opened up about his past in a revealing half hour documentary, entitled “I’ve been on a journey”, airing this Sunday, 10am on TV One.
Cliff talks about the fatal car accident that changed the course of his life plunging his childhood into a ‘Once Were Warriors’ world. “Yeah a bit of a Once Were Warriors scene going on for most of our upbringing.” He tells Marae reporter Carmen Parahi he’s come to terms with his father’s actions, “He was a good fulla, he wasn’t a bad man. He was not well, he was heartbroken.”
Cliff Curtis reveals the dark past he’s had to rise above to become one of this country’s most celebrated international stars.
This Marae special is no fluffy celebrity interview and viewers will be warned that the content is graphic and confronting.
“I’ve been on a journey” will air on TVNZ’s Marae, this Sunday 10am on TV One.
