FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PANNZ looking for Arts Leader to Manage Touring Agency
PANNZ (Performing Arts Network New Zealand) is looking for a Senior Producer to take on the role of managing the PANNZ Touring Agency. This is an exciting opportunity for a Performing Arts Manager or Producer to work nationally and to contribute significantly to the future of the New Zealand Performing Arts industry.
Creative New Zealand selected PANNZ to provide national touring services over the next three years. The agency is to help organise and support the national touring of contemporary New Zealand theatre, dance and music.
At the heart of PANNZ’s proposal for the agency is a flexible organisation that can adapt to the existing environment, and work in partnership with the sector. PANNZ envisages an agency that can work alongside arts organisations and artists who have their own management structures to deliver tours; and provide financial and management structures for artists and arts organisations that do not have their own.
The Senior Producer role will report to the PANNZ executive and will work in collaboration with artists, companies, presenters, venues, producers and festivals to develop and deliver new models, initiatives and strategies for the Touring Agency. They will broker and maintain highly productive and successful working relationships with the performing arts sector nationally and internationally and provide clear effective leadership.
‘PANNZ Touring Agency will offer an enormous opportunity for the performing arts industry in New Zealand. The Senior Producer role will be pivotal in ensuring the agencies success, while being supported and lead by the PANNZ Executive Board.’ said PANNZ Chair Megan Peacock Coyle.
Applications are open until Friday 23 January 12pm. Please see www.pannz.org.nz for information on how to apply and a position profile.
There will be two other full time roles required for the Touring Agency; they are a Production Manager, Marketing and Audience Development Manager. There will also be one part time Administrator role. The applications for these roles and position profiles will be available early February 2015.
