FULL WOMAD 2015 STAGE SCHEDULE IS NOW PUBLIC

Heavy hitters from the music world take the WOMAD stage in Taranaki from Friday 6pm March 13th to Sunday night March 15th.

One of the world’s greatest guitarists and folk legend Richard Thompson & The Electric Trio take the stage on the opening Friday night. Rufus Wainwrightperforming his Best Of show performs on the main stage on Saturday night as doesOrquesta Buena Vista Social Club as they make their first ever appearance exclusively at WOMAD NZ 2015. The inimitable Sinead O’Connor will punctuate the final night on Sunday.

WOMAD Artistic Director, Emere Wano says, “We are thrilled to be delivering this power packed programme for our audience this year. For those folks who have been meaning to come to the festival, but not made it yet, we hope the addition of these well known artists will entice them to make 2015 the year to be there. We know, once they’ve been to WOMAD, they’ll be hooked!”

As always with WOMAD, the full three day schedule is chock-full of the very best musicians from around the world with over 300 artists at WOMAD representing 22 countries.
