Spare an Hour to Help The Child Cancer Foundation This March

Spare an Hour to Help The Child Cancer Foundation This March

The Child Cancer Foundation is seeking volunteers to help with its local street appeal on Friday, 20 and Saturday, 21 March.

The street appeal is a key part of the annual Child Cancer Appeal Month, which runs throughout March. The appeal month aims to both raise funds and awareness about the vital support the Foundation offers children with cancer and their families across the country.

More than three New Zealand children are diagnosed with cancer each week. The Child Cancer Foundation aims to reduce the impact of cancer by offering services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and well cared for at every stage of their cancer journey. At any one time the Foundation is assisting more than 500 families across the country. It connects with families upon diagnosis and continues to offer support, information and services in hospital, at home and in the community.

People who are able to spare an hour or two on either the 20 or 21 March are asked to please register their interest at www.childcancer.org.nz or call 0800 424 453 to be connected with their local branch.
