Roller Derby kicks off home season

Richter City Roller Derby league will host their 2015 home season opener on Saturday 18 April in their second year at Wellington’s roller sports hub in Kilbirnie.

2014 home season champions Smash Malice will take on 2013 home season champions Comic Slams in a game not to be missed. Loyal fans of both teams will be ready to don the silver and blue to support the superheroes of Slams or the leopard print for Malice in an action-packed match-up featuring several veteran skaters and a whole new crop of rookies who’ve joined the Richter ranks.

Now in its seventh year of public competition, Richter City boasts three home teams comprised of members of the NZ#1 ranked All Stars and NZ#3 ranked Convicts (development team). Wellington is the premier location for derby competition in New Zealand and spectators will have to get in quick for the limited number of seats available at Kilbirnie Rec Centre.

Doors open at 6pm, game starts 7pm.
