Final Building Gallipoli video pays tribute to families of those depicted in exhibition
The final Building Gallipoli video released this evening pays tribute to the families of those depicted in the exhibition.
The exhibition, created by Te Papa working closely with Weta Workshop, opened to the public on 18 April.
On the eve of the public opening, Te Papa held a special preview for around 220 family descendants.
“At the time these men could never have imaged that their actions would be represented in the future in New Zealand with such reverence,” exhibition Creative Director Sir Richard Taylor says.
“I think if the veterans were alive today they would feel that justice had been done and that their generation had been recognised,” exhibition Historical Director Dr Christopher Pugsley says.
