Film screening at the Adam Art Gallery
Film screening at the Adam Art Gallery
Please come along for session two of our series of casual film screenings in association with the exhibition Drawing Is/Not Building. Each movie in the series is selected by the architects on show to extend concepts of drawing which are further mapped out and explored in their work.
The second film in this series is the original 1982 version of the cult sci-fi classic Tron.Tron was one of the earliest and most ambitious feature-length films to incorporatecomputer-animated environments. A young Jeff Bridges plays Kevin Flynn, who becomes trapped in the hard-edged world of a 3-D computer game. There he must battle viruses and programs in martial games in an effort to escape the computer mainframe.
The final screening in this series has been organised by Drawing Is/Not Buildingarchitect Sarah Treadwell and will take place on Friday 5 June at 6pm. It features a film by Auckland-artist Nova Paul alongside the inaugural screening of a moving image work by artist Louise Stevenson.
