Mucus Kids spit out their debut EP on May 29
Mucus Kids is a sewerpunk ménage a trois made up of Loz L’estranja (human sounds), Madison Von Uber Rothschild (bass) and Sebasschin Cumball (hitting), born and bred in the gutters of West Auckland.
Mucus was birthed in late 2013, when Madison and Loz met on the bus. They fell in love, then fell in hate, and it became Loz’s personal vendetta to make Madison perform the passive aggressive songs it had written about him. They found Sebasschin licking the sidewalk outside. Their first EP, “Mosh 4 Jesus”, is due for release on Powertool Records on May 29 2015.
Mucus Kids perform one of the most visceral live shows you’re likely to be confronted by. They cut their live teeth at New Lynn venue UFO (which is getting a reputation for spawning exciting new bands); they were rabidly lapped up at the Woodcock festival in February this year; and they dumbfounded crowds at bFM’s University of Auckland Orientation show in March.
They have two Auckland shows ahead of their EP release – if you’re based in the lower 09 region, this is your chance to find out what on earth people are going on about. We can’t tell you what they will bring to the stage – but we can tell you it won’t be dull!
