Is/Not Drawing Building?
Is/Not Drawing Building?
Roundtable Discussion
Adam Art Gallery
2-4pm, Saturday 30 May
2015
All welcome, free entry.
Join Simon Twose, Sarah Treadwell and a range of practising architects and academics—including Christopher Kelly, Peter Wood, Kate Linzey, Paul James, Derek Kawiti, Kathy Waghorn and Sue Hedges—to explore the nature of architectural drawing. Each participant will present a single drawing as provocation for thinking about the nature and purpose of drawing as a conceptual and material practice.
Open to all interested in drawing as a design tool, this roundtable will reveal the range and diversity of current approaches to the medium and generate discussion about the technological and intellectual landscapes within which the practice of drawing is being undertaken presently.
