End of the Alphabet new 7" split plus 2015 release schedule

End of the Alphabet - new 7" split plus 2015 release schedule!

We're very happy to announce our releases of fantastic and exciting music for the rest of 2015, but first! What is very exciting is that we've had some technical upgrades! Peter King of Peter King Lathe Cut Records in the far South of New Zealand, tells me they've had an overhaul at the pressing plant and that the records he's creating are sounding louder and clearer than they have in 20 years! And at home, we've upgraded our tape making facilities and now our tapes are sounding even better as well!

But to the music itself:

Coming out at the end of June is the 2nd in our series of 7" lathe cut splits - in April we released a very successful 7" split with KK Null and Mischancerie (a few copies still left!) and in June we're releasing:

Kraus and Kawabata Makoto: Seven Night's in a Rogue's Bed / Lost Milky Way

Two sides of beautifully contrasted trance-inducing approaches to the guitar. Kawabata Makoto, front man of the legendary Japanese psych-rock outfit, Acid Mothers Temple, loses his guitar in washes of cosmic joy; while Auckland-based sonic adventurer Kraus bends his guitar to his own modal-medieval sonic mantra. Stream Kraus' track HERE.

Later this year we have two more 7" splits on the way, again combining wonderful international artists with our locally made, New Zealand sound explorers. We're not totally sure yet which will come first, but they'll both be out in the next few months. They are:

Neil Campbell / Noel Meek - Campbell, of Astral Social Club fame, splits with the EAR label boss (one side is available to preview HERE).

Bruce Russell / Peter Kolovos - legendary Dead C noise maker versus LA-based guitar throttler and head of another great label, Thin Wrist.

After these we return to tape releases! And boy, what tapes we have.

In November we have a compilation of Indonesian noise music - spanning 20 years and lord knows how many islands and cultures. Well known musician and promoter, Indra Menus, has spent the last five years compiling a massive collection of noise and experimental music from all over the archipelago of Indonesia. Hailing from Java, Bali, Sumatra, Borneo and Sulawesi and some spots in between, these 18 tracks chart a huge and exciting scene from the most densely populated place on earth and will include artwork from Indonesian visual artists. Starting with a Worldhate track from 1996 and concluding with the now well know Senyawa, the tape we're putting out is just a sample of the 117 tracks that Indra will put out on DVD later on. The release also coincides with the New Zealand release of Bising, a documentary film about this wild young scene.

And then, to round off the year, we'll be putting out the follow-up to our sold-out compilation of New Zealand sound art, NoFi Rainbow Vol. 1 - entitled NoFi Rainbow Vol. 2! It'll include a whole new roster of well known and younger New Zealand artists.

There may be a couple of other tapes coming out during the year - we'll let you know!

Preview tracks and review downloads are available on request - as are physical review copies.

As ever, all releases are available via bandcamp and via emailing us directly. We'll also have our website up and running in the next few weeks.

We thank you heartily and soundly.
