New Zealand ,Federation of Muslims Association (FIANZ) has announced that the first day of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan will be Friday June 19, Tahir Nawaz , President of International Muslim Association (IMAN) reported.
Crescent was not sighted on June 17, Scholars were agreed If the crescent is not sighted on Wednesday, fasting will begin on Friday.
Ramadhan is the ninth month of Islamic Calendar, Holy book Quran was revealed in this month which makes it very special for Muslims.
Another thing makes it special that, Fasting in the month of Ramadhan is one of the five pillars of Islam.
Wellington Muslims performed their first Tareweh Prayer on Thursday night.
