We are all looking forward to the 20th annual DCM Bookfair
We are all looking forward to the 20th annual DCM Bookfair on 11-12 July 2015 at the TSB Bank Arena.
Yes, for 20 years now this has been DCM’s largest fundraiser, regularly raising over $100,000. Without it, how could we continue our work with some 850 marginalised people in Wellington each year, most of whom meet the New Zealand definition of homelessness or are at risk of homelessness? We work with them to find housing, manage their money, connect with whanau and make positive changes in their lives.
The people of Wellington have again supported us with generous donations of high quality books, so you can look forward to another very high quality Bookfair, with more than 90,000 books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and vinyl on offer.
Other entertainment at this year’s Bookfair includes the DCM Ukes Mataawaka, a musical group made up of current and former DCM service users, who will perform on the Saturday at 1pm and again at 2pm.
So please come along and support DCM at this year’s Bookfair. You can also help us by inviting your family and friends, and by joining and sharing our Facebook event:https://www.facebook.com/events/659162247528164/
We look forward to seeing you at the 20th DCM Bookfair!
