Fresh from sold out shows across Australia, 2014 X Factor Australiarunner-up and alternative rock and blues singer/songwriter Dean Ray is heading to New Zealand for three one off shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Mentored by pop darling and X Factor NZJudge Natalie Bassingthwaite, Dean’s alternative rock/blues sound captured the hearts of Australians, taking Dean all the way to the X Factor Australia finals. Post the show, Dean went on to release his debut single, ‘Coming Back’, and a self-titled album which both reached the Top 5 on the national ARIA Charts. Dean’s debut album was also certified Gold within weeks of its release.
After being inundated by his New Zealand fans over social media, Dean is excited to be able to bring his show to NZ.
"I've been hounding my management to tour New Zealand and it's finally happening,” says Dean. “I can't WAIT to get over the SEA and into NZEEEE”
2015 has seen Dean perform across the world with over 50 live gigs already under his belt this year alone. The response to Dean Ray’s live performances from both fans and critics alone has been overwhelming. Fans describe Dean as one that ‘Needs to be seen live’
