The Lucid Effect announces new EP, North Island tour
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wellington singer-songwriter The Lucid Effect is heading out on tour - Their 2015 EP release “I Came From A Dark Place” is just the latest in a line of releases from frontman Declan Ramsay. Originally from London, by way of New Plymouth, Ramsay has been releasing music since the age of 17 and shows no signs of stopping.
Straddling the line between singer-songwriter and full-on rock, THE LUCID EFFECT has to be experienced to be believed. Aggressive, melodic and vibrant, The Lucid Effect sound is full of intense energy, using live looping to create walls of sound.
True to the New Zealand DIY ethic, the “Not Even Close to Famous” tour is rallying musicians from all around the North Island to help organise, manage and promote individual gigs independently of a music label. “The music industry is changing,” says Ramsay. “These days, you can’t sit around waiting for your big break – you can just get up and do it.”
The “Not Even Close to Famous” tour, hitting Auckland, New Plymouth, and Wellington, will bring The Lucid Effect's distinctive acoustic sound to audiences around the North Island. Their EP “I Came From A Dark Place” will be available on Bandcamp on Friday 28th August.
